Knives*
The Okapi Knives have been made in South Africa since 1987.
They were made in Germany from 1902-1987. They are of the same
specifications and same high quality as the German producers.
These knives are a design from the 17th century, and are known
as "clasp" knives. They are made from 1055 high carbon steel
and the Rockwell hardness is 54. They are popular with the
backwoodsmen, rendezvous goers, and anyone looking for a
knife that fits a certain period of time.
The most popular mode is the 907-E. It has a locking mechanism,
and is unlocked by pulling up on the ring. The Okapi company
makes approximately 3.5 million of this model alone every year.
These knives are of excellent quality, and are all priced at
$10.00 each, or any four for $35.00.
